There is a uniqueness about the Palm Springs Drive church of Christ that may not be immediately apparent to those who happen by. Someone might say, "Why, what do you mean? This church looks similar to many you pass in Altamonte Springs, and practically every other city of these United States." Therein is part of this church's uniqueness. This church is not the building. It is the people who meet and worship in this building. In biblical language, they are the "ekklesia", the Greek word for the called out assembly, or in a word, the church.

The sign in front of our meeting place states that we are a "church of Christ." This explains to all who we are. We are a church (an assembly of people) who are "of Christ" (i.e., we belong to Christ). Such has existed since the days of the apostle Paul who wrote, "The churches of Christ salute you" (Romans 16:16). We belong to Christ as our Savior and Lord. Why not? He purchased us with His redeeming blood (Acts 20:28). As a group of penitent believers who have been baptized (immersed)

 

What Makes Us Different

The Christians who come together to form the church of Christ at Palm Springs Drive hold the Bible as the complete, perfect, and final communication from God to man today. All our beliefs and practices find their source and authority from the scriptures alone. Since we follow no creed, handbook, or tradition apart from the Bible, to understand who we are and what we believe, one must look to the Bible for enlightenment.
